Our
Mission
Grace Church Taipei exists to glorify the one true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—by proclaiming Jesus Christ and leading others into a restored relationship with God. Rooted in Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we serve the English-speaking community of Taipei with God’s message of grace.
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus who are transformed through biblical teaching, authentic community, and compassionate service. We equip believers to grow in faith, live with purpose, and reflect Christ in every area of life—locally and globally.
Together, we seek to raise up the next generation, celebrate diverse backgrounds united in Christ, and share the hope of the gospel in Taipei and beyond—living out our calling with joy, humility, and a passion for winning people to Christ.
Statement of Faith
(as of November 23rd, 2024)
1. Scripture
We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 canonical books of Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule for faith, conduct, and practice, sufficient for all matters of life and godliness.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)
2. God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is sovereign, holy, and worthy of all glory and worship.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
3. Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, fully God and fully man, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. He will return in power and glory.
(John 1:1-18; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
4. Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. All who repent of their sins and trust in Him are justified by His blood and born again by the Holy Spirit.

5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe, and indwells all believers, empowering them for holy living and service.
(John 16:7-11; Titus 3:5; Galatians 5:16-25)
6. The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, and that Christ is the head of the Church. The Church’s mission is to glorify God by making disciples of all nations, proclaiming the gospel, and living out the teachings of Scripture.

7. Ordinances
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has given two ordinances to the Church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism, by immersion upon profession of faith, and the Lord’s Supper, as a remembrance of Christ’s death, are symbolic acts of obedience but do not confer salvation.

8. Christian Living
We believe that all believers are called to live lives of holiness, humility, and service, in accordance with the teachings of Scripture. The indwelling Holy Spirit enables believers to grow in Christ likeness and to love one another as Christ loves us.

9. The Return of Christ
We believe in the imminent, personal return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead, to establish His eternal kingdom, and to complete God’s redemptive purposes.
(Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12)
10. Eternal Destiny
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of those who are in Christ, and judgment for those who reject Him.
