Sermon Study Guide

Q1: Icebreaker: What are the building blocks of relationships? How do you exercise them, and grow in them?

Q2: The original four-fold relationships we’ve been created for was paradise within paradise. What is the time in your life where you’ve felt the most fullness of life in all four relationships, with God, with others, with the earth, and with yourself?

Q3: The covenant of marriage includes leaving father and mother, creating a new priority with one’s spouse, cleaving together in permanence and commitment, and joining two in one. How does this differ from the world’s definition of marriage today?

Q4: The serpent is crafty and twists God’s words. Eve also does not quote God correctly or address His Name properly. In what ways have you seen someone try to twist God’s Word, and how do you discern and defend against that?

Q5: Do you think the consequences of The Fall are just? What about the consequences of sin today?

Q6: Christ the Messiah has come to restore our relationship with God. Through Jesus we see the Savior come close to us in love and grace, and we can also have faith in Him and pray to God. How does this good news affect your life?

Q7: Which part of this message on Adam & Eve, and the Fall, resonated with you the most? Which part surprised you the most?
